Vincent McDonald

Chairman

Vincent McDonald is a Bahamian entrepreneur who has worked in the hospitality industry in the Bahamas for more than 35 years. He received his formal training from The Bahamas Hotel Training College. He has worked in all areas of the food and beverage business hotels in Nassau and Paradise Island. He launched out on his own after a brief marketing stint at Aquapure Limited, a local bottled water company.

He obtained a Master’s of Science Degree from McHari Institute in International Law and Administration in 2001.

He is a Distinguished Toastmaster and has served as Division Governor of Toastmasters International.

By hard work and perseverance, Vince has been successful in every business venture that he has taken on including owning and operating convenience stores, a landscaping company and a currency trading firm. He is a partner in Bahamas Renewable Energy Company (BREC) and an owner of Winso Ltd, an alternative energy company which were instrumental in providing wind and solar studies for various projects.

He is the owner of the Curly’s Group of Companies which holds Curly’s Bar on Cable Beach and Curly’s Restaurant on Arawak Cay for 25 years and 10 years respectively.

Winfield “Johnny” Outten

Chief Executive Officer

Winfield S Outten is a Businessman. Winfield spent the first 6 1/2 years of his working career as a banker at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He left CIBC in 1998 to establish his own business, Tiffany Marble Products which later became Bahamas Kitchen and Bath. He also established Countrywide Builders and was also instrumental in the creation of a number of other businesses in the Bahamas.

He obtained an Associate in Arts Degree from the College of The Bahamas in Banking & Finance. He also obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Accounting from Nova Southeastern University.

He is a founding member of the Small Business Association of the Bahamas where he served as President and the Bahamas Entrepreneurial Venture Capital fund. He is currently a Director of the Venture Capital Fund and a former director of BAIC and the Bahamas Contractors Association. Winfield is also a sitting director of a few other companies in Grand Bahama, Nassau, Nicaragua and Belize. He is also a member of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce.

Leslie Renward Hutchinson

Chief Operations Officer

Leslie Hutchinson is a registered Professional Engineer and Certified Project Manager with 39 years’ experience in the Industry. He has a reputation for effective project and operations management, along with excellent communication and operational skills. His work encompasses scheme development, contract drafting and administration, design, operation and maintenance to ensure the sustainability of completed projects. He has provided leadership to major, multi-million dollar, government projects including water and sewer works, roadway construction, as well as renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. He is committed to ensuring water, food, energy and economic security for The Bahamas.

He obtained both a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), an Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science Degree from Morehouse College, as well as an Associate Degree in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of The Bahamas. He has attended numerous courses sponsored by UNESCO, IDB, CDB, CCCCC and the Singapore Cooperation Program including courses in climate change mitigation and climate risk informed decision analysis, environmental, social and gender impact analysis.

He has provided overall leadership to a team responsible for undertaking project preparation for a Green Climate fund sponsored climate resilience project ($50Mn), a Caribbean Development Bank Water Supply Project ($40Mn), the water component of a ($200Mn) IDB Roads Project and a $20Mn Government Project to refurbish water and sewer and roads infrastructure in downtown Nassau.

Junardo Hall

Financial Consultant

Junardo Hall is a licensed Certified Management Accountant and Certified Public Accountant. He started his career in public accounting, planning and executing external audits in various industries.

He later moved into the private sector in the private banking industry where he currently serves as a Manager in the Finance function. His skills and experience also include bookkeeping, preparation and review of financial statements, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting.

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Management from Saint John’s University in 2012.

Junardo served as a director of Candour Consulting Services. The business provided services including financial analysis, preparation of business plans, bookkeeping, and other consulting services. In his current role he manages a diverse team to provide support to a group of companies.

Owen Wells

Legal Consultant

As a Partner at the Law Firm of McKinney, Turner & Co., Owen has a diverse practice in the Civil and Commercial Litigation sector. His experience in an array of complex matters has made him well versed in commercial transactions. In particular, Owen has represented private and public companies, large commercial banks, offshore banks, and private equity funds. He has advised a number of clients on matters relating to liquidation and the disposal of securities assets, and reporting obligations related to security transactions.

Owen studied at the University of Buckingham in Buckinghamshire, England, where he obtained his LLB with Upper Second Class honors in 2009. Thereafter, he completed his postgraduate diploma in Bar Vocational Studies at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London, England with the distinction of Very Competent. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2010 and admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in September 2010.

Owen has broadened his scope of practice through engagements as a criminal defence attorney in a number of high-profile criminal prosecutions of widespread public interest.
